Keynote Presentations
Our inspiring keynote presentations with Rachel French, Carla Marschall, and Nancy Fairburn will set the scene for this year's conference theme 'Transforming Education.'
The Keynote presentations are designed to inspire, and motivate you, challenge your thinking and reveal what is possible within a Concept-Based Inquiry approach.
Live Lessons
The purpose of these live lessons is to provide an experience of an inductive approach to building conceptual understanding.
These sessions will consist of two different parts. The first part will be an interactive lesson experience that you participate in so you are able to fully experience the inductive teaching process.
The second part will be a debrief of the lesson experience, guiding you to replicate the lesson's strategies and intent in your own school or classroom.
LIVE Classroom Visits
These sessions are designed to take you inside and model specific strategies used in different subject areas, grade levels, and phases of inquiry.
The session will include a lesson video of students engaging in Concept-Based Inquiry in a classroom, followed by a debrief about the lesson video.
Round Table Discussions
The round table discussions provide an opportunity for you to connect, network and discuss a Concept-Based Inquiry approach in a specific niche or subject area.
Our goal is to bring more voices to the table, interact with one another, play off ideas, and discuss the special considerations of implementing a Concept-Based approach.
Break Out Sessions
Learn the latest strategies from a Certified Erickson and Lanning CBCI Trainer and discover how they are implementing CBI into their classroom.
These sessions will include time for your questions at the end of each session.
By interacting in small groups and learning about focused topics, this format allows you to chat and exchange points of view in a more comfortable and intimate space with a focused, defined objective.
