About Your Course Facilitator

Nyssa Brown is an international arts education consultant who works with educators around the globe to build student-centered, Concept-Based, inquiry-driven arts curriculum. Nyssa served on the writing committee for the National Core Arts Standards and is an Erickson and Lanning Concept-Based Curriculum and Instruction Certified Trainer. With 25 years of teaching experience with both students and adults, Nyssa empowers learners of all ages to build on their current knowledge and envision new possibilities.

3. Do I need to have studied Concept-Based Inquiry before?

This custom-designed course will build from the ground up, so no prior knowledge of Concept-Based is required.

4. What is the weekly time commitment?

Everyone works at a different pace, but we imagine it will take about 1.5 hours per week.

The final 1-1 coaching call is 45 min.

5. What do I need to participate?

Internet access to stream videos and access the course content.

6. Are there any prerequisites for this course?

The course costs €650 per teacher, and we also have multiple-teacher and whole-school discounts. Enroll now to take advantage of our Early Bird Special (before March 3, 2023) and save €50 per participant!

When do registrations close?

Registrations for A Closer Look at Process Across Disciplines will end on Friday, January 15th, 2023.

What date does the course start?

The course starts on Friday January 20th, 2023.

What is the time commitment?

The video modules, reflections, and readings will take you between one and two hours a week and the weekly group Zoom call is one hour.


The course assignment is to design your own unit this may be completed independently or with a team of teachers from your school.


The final 1-1 coaching call is 45 min.

The calls are highly recommended but they are optional. Attendance is not required for course completion. All of the course material is pre-recorded videos that can be watched at anytime.
